The VMI Keydets are the athletic teams that represent the Virginia Military Institute. The Keydets compete in the NCAA Division I with 16 different sports, 14 of which compete in the Big South Conference. Just six of the 17 sports are for women, the other 10 for men.

- Alumni Memorial Field - home to VMI football and lacrosse, opened in 1962
- Cameron Hall - home of VMI basketball since its opening in 1981
- Gray-Minor Stadium - opened in 2007 and home to VMI baseball
- Patchin Field - home to VMI men's and women's soccer, and also the practice field for lacrosse
- Cocke Hall - home of VMI wrestling since 1926
- Clark King Pool - home of VMI men's and women's swimming and diving, and soon to be home to water polo, opened in 1971
