Duggar Baucom is the 30th all-time head basketball coach at the Virginia Military Institute. Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Baucom was an assistant coach at 4 schools and head coach at 3 schools, including VMI. He is in his 6th year for the Institute, and holds an 87-94 overall record.
Coaching Career[]
Baucom was an assistant coach at Davidson, Mars Hill, Northwestern State, and Western Carolina for 8 combined years. He was the head of North Mecklenburg High School from 1991-95, and also Tusculum College from 2003-05. He was named VMI head basketball coach following the unsuccessful 2004-05 season.
